1. Operator and acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Pastilo and pastilo.app. Pastilo is operated by K2 Technology, a sole proprietorship based in Poland, with its business address at Beaty Artemskiej 8, 52-234 Wrocław, Poland.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Pastilo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Pastilo. If you use Pastilo for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation.
2. Editions and availability
Pastilo is offered in a Free edition, a 30-day public beta license for the full Dev experience, and Plus and Dev paid editions. Features, operating-system requirements, prices, and license limits are shown on pastilo.app or at checkout and may change before purchase.
- Free: the core clipboard history and paste workflow.
- Plus: additional organisation, Sequential Paste, notes, secure data, and personalisation features.
- Dev: Plus features together with developer tools and transformations.
Pastilo supports macOS 14 and later as stated on the website. We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue a feature, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
3. Public beta license
The public beta provides a free Polar license key for the full Dev experience for 30 days from the key’s issue. A card is not required and the key does not automatically convert into a paid plan or create an automatic charge.
Polar uses your email to issue and recover the license. No Pastilo account is required. The key can be activated and validated on supported devices within the limits shown by Polar.
When the key expires, Pastilo falls back to the Free edition. Your local clipboard history, settings, notes, and other data are not deleted because the edition changes. You may later purchase Plus or Dev as separate paid licenses.
4. License to use Pastilo
Subject to these Terms and any payment due, K2 Technology grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the selected Pastilo edition on devices you own or control, within the edition and device limits stated by Polar at checkout or license activation.
Polar provides the license-key checkout and activation service. Pastilo may contact Polar to activate, validate, or deactivate a key, but does not send clipboard content or clipboard history as part of that process.
You must not, except where applicable law expressly permits it:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, or make Pastilo available to others;
- remove proprietary notices or use Pastilo to build a competing service;
- circumvent edition, beta, licensing, or security controls; or
- reverse engineer Pastilo beyond what mandatory law permits.
You may use Pastilo’s developer actions on content you are entitled to process. You are responsible for checking the output before relying on it.
5. Your content and local processing
You retain your rights in text, links, images, files, code, notes, and other content you place in Pastilo. Pastilo does not claim ownership of that content. The app is designed to process clipboard content locally on your Mac; you are responsible for the content you copy and the applications with which you use it.
Do not use Pastilo to store or process content when doing so would violate law, confidentiality duties, third-party rights, or the rules of the source application.
6. Prices, payment, and consumer rights
Paid purchases made during the beta use one-time prices of $10 for Plus (regular price $20) and $20 for Dev (regular price $30). Each paid beta purchase includes free updates to the regular Pastilo version at no additional charge. A checkout page confirms the final currency, taxes, payment terms, license scope, and total price.
Polar handles checkout and payment under its own terms and privacy notice. Pastilo will not receive your full payment-card number. Paid licenses are separate purchases and are not subscriptions unless the checkout explicitly says otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights that apply to consumers. For digital content, the right to withdraw may depend on when delivery begins and whether you expressly requested immediate delivery and acknowledged the legal consequences. The checkout flow will present any required information and consent before purchase.
Any voluntary refund policy will be shown at checkout. Statutory remedies and consumer protections continue to apply.
7. Support
General support, beta access, and purchase questions are handled at support@pastilo.app. Privacy and data-protection requests can be sent to privacy@pastilo.app. We aim to provide reasonable assistance, but we do not promise a particular response time or that every issue can be resolved.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pastilo is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every application, or suitable for every purpose. Do not rely on clipboard history or developer transformations as your only copy of critical information.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for intentional wrongdoing or mandatory consumer protections. To the extent permitted by law, K2 Technology is not liable for indirect loss, loss of data caused by your failure to maintain backups, or business interruption arising from use of Pastilo.
10. Intellectual property
Pastilo, its name, visual identity, software, website, and documentation are owned by or licensed to K2 Technology and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant a license to use Pastilo; they do not transfer ownership.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Pastilo at any time. We may suspend or terminate a license for material breach, misuse, fraud, or a legal requirement. Ending a license does not remove rights or obligations that by their nature should continue, including payment obligations, intellectual-property protections, and liability limits.
12. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts under applicable law.
We may update these Terms when Pastilo, its pricing, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms, except where the law requires a different form of notice or consent.
